Coro Chasco is an accredited full professor in the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). She earned his Ph.D. and graduated with honors in Applied Economic Modelling at UAM. She is Ambassador to Spain and Fellow of the Regional Studies Association (FeRSA), since 2022, and co-editor of the Journal Spatial Economic Analysis (since 2020), as well as Research Affiliate in the Research Group on Economy, Business and Internationalization on Nebrija University (since 2018), External Research Fellow in the Instituto de Economía Internacional at Universitat Jaume I (since 2019) and invited professor in the University of Burgundi Franche-Comté, France (since 2013), University of Santiago de Chile (since 2019), University King Juan Carlos University, Madrid (since 2016) and University of Jaén (since 2020). She was also Visiting Scholar at the Center for Spatial Data Science on the University of Chicago (2017, 2018), Adolfo Ibáñez University, Chile (2014), University of Burgundi Franche-Comté, France (2011) and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2004). She directs the ECONRES Research Group (UAM) and works in applied econometrics and spatial analysis, with applications to regional growth, housing prices, environment pollution, tourism and quality of life.
